The mold was just the beginning. Right after moving in, we found the washing machine covered in mold and smelling horrible. When we reported it, the manager told us to just wash our clothes a couple of times and the smell would go away. 🤦‍♀️

When my husband showed him photos of the mold inside the rubber seal, he asked, “Where did you get these pictures?” 😂 As if we keep washing-machine mold photos on our phones for fun. We took them inside the machine!

When we asked for the machine to be replaced, he started yelling and even threatened to terminate our lease. He eventually replaced it, but the experience told us enough.

Think twice before renting here.

This man doesn’t keep his word. Think twice before signing a lease or having any deal with him.

Before signing the lease, we asked if a 30-day notice would be possible if something came up, and he confirmed, “We will allow 30-day notice.”

When we actually had to move out earlier than planned and gave that notice, he himself offered and agreed on the move-out date, told us how much we needed to pay, and promised to return our security deposit.

However, after we moved to another state, he sent us a letter saying he was not going to return our deposit because the lease was for one year and we supposedly had no right to end it sooner.

I’m attaching screenshots of our communication. Look at them and decide for yourself.

And that’s without even mentioning that he yelled at us, threatened to call the police, and forced me, my pregnant wife, and our children out into the rain one day before the move-out date he himself had agreed to.

We lived there for only a few months, paid everything on time, didn’t damage anything, and left the place clean.
